A review-meets-craft essay on character "change"

A lot of times we talk about how a character has to change in some way by the end of the story. I say that all the time in my classes. It’s important to be clear on what change can look like. Because change can look like a lot of things—even “changes” the character might not be aware of themselves.

Side note: I love a character who is not self aware.
